Christmas Adventures

This year we spent Christmas Eve and day in Chicago and Michigan with Ryan's family. Evie had a blast exploring new places, seeing family and getting new toys! The following weekend we celebrated with my family here in Ohio.

Worst pictures, best pictures

It's true: Taking care of Evie is much like taking care of wrestling a baby goat.  Diaper changes, lunch time, changing clothes, taking a bath, getting in the car......always a battle. She squirms, she runs away, she arches her back, and she's getting stronger by the day.

I've captured a lot of great photos of the Evster over the past year. The good, however, are far and few between. Lets take a moment to appreciate the ones I purposely leave in my photo library. I like to hold onto a few of the "bad" pics, because after all, they best capture the reality of the moment.

Here we are trying to capture one of the Pinterest photos you've seen where the adorable child sits calmly in front of the twinkling tree. 

And here's what happens when you try for too long to make your child sit in front of the twinkling tree when she'd rather yank on the ornaments.
